Prue Bartels is recognised as one of the most experienced
image consultants in Australia. An accredited consultant with international
image companies, Prue has shared her expertise with thousands of
men and women through consultations, seminars, newspaper columns,
radio and television.
Trained in 1985 by industry pioneer Colour Me Beautiful
and then Always In Style, Prue built a successful business in Adelaide
advising over 3000 individuals on colour, style and wardrobe planning.
Prue was appointed David Jones' first Fashion Consultant
in 1988. She later provided in-house consulting at Myer, and managed
one of Liz Davenport's designer boutiques. She also designed Clipsal's
national corporate wardrobe.
In 1989 Prue presented one of the earliest staff
training programs on professional image, and has since conducted
programs in all capital cities.
Relocating to Melbourne in 1993, Prue spent 2 years
in human resources before returning to her consultancy full time
in 1996.
Corporate clients have included Commonwealth and
State Government Departments, Telstra, Westpac, Citipower, Crown,
Lincraft and Box Hill Institute of TAFE.
Members of both federal and state parliaments have
benefited from Prue's expertise.
In 2006 Prue relocated to the Gold Coast to "retire".
After 2 years, she could no longer ignore her passion for image
consulting and re-launched The Image Centre.
Prue is also a sought after speaker at various
events ranging from professional conferences to fundraising and
social events.
Her expertise in the field of colour has led to
providing an interior design service for both commercial and private
clients.
Today Prue is an independent consultant using her
unique background to develop innovative training programs and products
tailored to meet the individual needs of both corporate and private
clients.
